On Monday, February 2, 2026, at 9:27 p.m., officers responded to the area of Sawtelle Boulevard and Woolford Street regarding a vehicle that had veered off the roadway and collided with a resident’s cinderblock wall. The driver exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot; however, a CCPD reserve officer in the area detained the driver until patrol officers arrived.
Officers determined the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrest. Due to the traffic collision, Culver City Fire Department responded, and the driver was transported to a local hospital with non–life-threatening injuries and once medically cleared was booked for suspicion of driving impaired at the Culver City Jail.
