This MLK Day, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a champion of equality, justice, and community. Heidi Duckler Dance proudly celebrates this legacy through our ongoing residency at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Campus.
In 2018, we became the inaugural artist-in-residence at the MLK Medical Campus through an NEA Our Town grant, and our partnership has since flourished with support from Los Angeles County and the California Arts Council. In addition to this residency, the Dr. Kerry English Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center Creative Fellowship, also known as The Bridge Program, has supported youth who have experienced foster care by introducing them to various art forms and connecting them to opportunities in the arts.
