On September 7, La Ballona Elementary School’s PTA was awarded a $10,000 from Sprouts Market on Venice Boulevard through the Sprouting School Gardens Grant via the Sprouts Health Communities Foundation.
This opportunity allows La Ballona Elementary to upgrade its garden area from 8 years ago and will incorporate nutrition education through health growing and healthy eating for the students. La Ballona’s Green Committee is partnering with the school to complete this project during the 2024-2025 school year.
