When the students were out, the repairs were going in – the long discussed repairs to Culver City’s school facilities were underway during the summer vacation, utilizing the funding approved by Measure E on the ballot in March of 2024. With the classrooms and hallways empty, the moment was ripe for the repairs that needed the space.
At the Culver City Unified School Board meeting on August 26, 2024, Superintendent Brian Lucas offered updates to CCUSD’s facilities work: Repaired ceiling tiles in several elementary school spaces; a cleaned up high school parking lot which allows for additional parking (and happy residential neighbors); cleaning and repairs of our middle and high school gyms and track, and bathroom repairs on multiple campuses.
Roof repairs are scheduled to begin in October in advance of the rainy season.
