Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell and her team joined the LA County Fire Department’s Lifeguard Division for an insightful ride-along to get a firsthand look at how LA County lifeguards protect 72 miles of coastline and the safety of our constituents. Our tour also included a preview of the new inclusive uniforms —an initiative driven by the Board of Supervisors.
We also received an update on the construction of a new lifeguard facility in the Marina, which is part of a broader effort to boost public safety and support lifeguards during night shifts.
