Culver City Seeks Nominations – PRCS Looks to ‘Older Americans Awards’

Do you know someone age 50+ who is doing amazing things in Culver City? The Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department is asking for nominations for the Culver City honoree for this year’s Los Angeles County Older Americans Month celebration.
Nominee must be a resident of Culver City.
Nominee must be age 50 and above.
NomCulver inator must provide a brief written description of nominee and how they exemplify this year’s theme of ‘Powered by Connection.’ Per Los Angeles County ‘Powered by Connection’ “recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being. We will explore the vital role that connectedness plays in supporting independence and aging in place by combatting isolation, loneliness, and other issues.”

Nominator must provide written description of nominee and how they specifically have helped our community be ‘Powered by Connection’ here in Culver City. What volunteer service, civic participation and other activities in the Heart of Screenland has your nominee participated in and how many years have they been involved in each?

Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of Parks, Recreation & Community Services Commission members, PRCS staff and Culver City Senior Citizens Association Board members.

All nominations must be received by Friday, March 15, 2024.
