Joey Taylor, beloved Linwood E. Howe teacher and colleague for 26 years, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Taylor was a long-time kindergarten teacher at Linwood E. Howe Elementary School. She is remembered for her endearing approach to her students and their families.
Mrs. Taylor taught her students the importance of being a person of integrity. She embraced and modeled respect for people from all walks of life and inspired those around her to do the same.
Joey Taylor was the embodiment of Mother Earth. Her aura was larger than life. She had a special gift for making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. Her welcoming smile, laugh, hugs, compassion, intelligence, and creativity are some of the beautiful attributes that made her so adored. Mrs. Taylor loved literature, art, and music and strove to instill that passion in her students.
