Spring Music Concerts @ CCHS April 19, and May 26

Culver City High School’s Music Department as it Presents…Music of Diverse Cultures and Genres. Two concerts will take place on Wednesday, April 19 and Friday, May 26 at 7 pm. Treat yourself to the first show this coming Wednesday at the Robert Frost Auditorium, and celebrate Spring with a program of eclectic music. 

The concert on April 19 will feature Freedom Rhapsody by James Curnow (April 19 concert, CCHS Orchestra,) Baile de Lila by Chris Thomas,  Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song by Samuel Hazo, Castles in Europe March by James Reese Europe, Cajun Folk Songs by Frank Ticheli (CCHS Concert Band,) Warrior Legacy by Soon Her Newbold (combined Concert Band and Orchestras,)Perpetual Fiddle Motion by Brian Balmages (CCHS Orchestra)Land of Dragons by Chris Thomas (CCHS Orchestra,) String Symphony No. 3, Andante and Allegro by Felix Mendelssohn (AVPA Orchestra) Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticate by Mascagni (AVPA Orchestra) Merry-Go-Round of Life from Howl’s Moving Castle by Joe Hiaishi (AVPA Orchestra) and Caravan (AVPA Jazz Ensemble.)

Admission is free – donations accepted. All ages are invited!
