Final Weekend For Current Exhibits at the Wende

If you haven’t yet had the chance to experience the Wende Museums boundary-defying current exhibitions, For Ruth, The Sky in Los Angeles: Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt and David Horvitz and (De)constructing Ideology: The Cultural Revolution and Beyond, this final weekend! is the last opportunity.

At noon on closing day, March 12, David Horvitz will give a special artist-led tour, discussing his work and his correspondence with the East German mail artist Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt. That is in addition to our usual public tours at 2:30 p.m Friday through Sunday.

The Wende will be closed for the latter half of March, re-opening on April 1 with our next exhibitions, Vietnam in Transition, 1976 – Present, which focuses on contemporary art from post-reunification Vietnam and the international Vietnamese diaspora community, and David Bowie in the Soviet Union, a revealing look at the musician’s 1973 trip on the Trans-Siberian Express using photographs taken by his childhood friend and percussionist Geoff MacCormack.

Read on for more info on our upcoming programs, both online and in-person, including tomorrow’s online panel discussion on The Future of Democracy.
