There will be construction on the Ballona Creek Bike Path and a slight delay in re-opening the Jackson Ave. gate.
From Tuesday, January 31, 2023 through Tuesday, February 14, 2023, owing to work on the Higuera Street Bridge Replacement Project, the Ballona Creek Bike Path between National Blvd and Duquesne Ave will be closed temporarily.
Path will be closed weekdays but may be open on the weekends as construction allows. Signage will be placed directing bike traffic to Jefferson Blvd. Bicyclists will be able to enter and exit the bike path at Duquesne Ave.
The improvements to the Jackson Avenue gate entrance to the Ballona Creek Bike Path have been delayed due to recent rain. While the work is in progress, the gate will be temporarily closed starting January 23, 2023 through February 6, 2023.
