Head over to the Culver City Arts District this Saturday, August 20 , 2022 to enjoy – and support – our local musicians and neighborhood businesses. The first Love Local music performance will take place this Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 3 PM – 6 PM. Enjoy country music and light 70’s sounds from local bands Doug Gochman and the Desperate Measures and groove to indie rock with The Black Heartthrobs. Both bands will be performing along the Helms Walk – The Pedestrian Plaza on Helms Avenue.
Come early and enjoy crafts, a game of checkers, on-the-spot-poetry, an interactive balloon project, the Welcome Blanket exhibition and knitting workshop, a fruit and t-shirt pop-up by Rosie’s and make a smoothie on the bike blender from Co-opportunity Market, and a screening of The Goonies all generously sponsored by the Helms Bakery District.
School may be back in session, but summer isn’t over yet! Enter a raffle for a Pasta Sisters gift card and enjoy other specials throughout the Arts District.
Upcoming Love Local events will occur in Downtown Culver City on Saturday, September 10, 2022, featuring Samba De Duas with a jazzy Brazilian beat, and on Saturday, October 15, 2022 on West Washington Boulevard (between Centinela Avenue and Wade Street) for a spooky Halloween themed afternoon.
