Symphony Jazz Orchestra Online with “What is Jazz?” June 29

Tonight at 7pm PST join us on Symphonic Jazz Orchestra’s Facebook Page for a special livestream of “What is Jazz?“a pre-recorded concert by members of the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra for elementary age students. There will be a live Q&A with Music Director, Mitch Glickman, after the presentation.

Debuting in 2002, the 68-member Symphonic Jazz Orchestra (SJO) is a unique hybrid ensemble dedicated to blending the worlds of jazz and classical music. The ensemble has performed throughout Southern California, and has a long relationship with CCUSD, teaching students to improvise, listen and enjoy jazz.
