Actors’ Gang Revives Axis Mundi – International Conversations on Theater

An old tradition of The Actors’ Gang, Axis Mundi, will be returning to the digital stage Feb. 25, 2021 at 7 pm. Hosted by Artistic Director, Tim Robbins, this series of public forums will introduce us to creative theater minds from all around the world. With each conversation, we’ll bring together theater makers who shape cultures and continue to keep us in awe to ask vital questions about the future of theater and arts and what it means to create in pandemic times.

Kickstarting the series with a conversation with Chilean screenwriter, playwright, and theater director Guillermo Calderón. A co-founder of Teatro en el Blanco theater company, Calderón wrote and directed Neva and December and has been commissioned to write and direct by the Royal Court Theater, Center Theater Group, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Theater Basel, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, and the Public Theater in New York City, where he also directed Neva. His plays have been presented in more than 25 countries.

The event, produced in partnership with Fundación Teatro a Mill, will be translated into Spanish and will be streamed on March 4th at 7 pm (PT) through Zoom and Facebook Live.

The live translation is only available through Zoom. To register, go to /theactorsgang.com/
