While many people are staying off the streets, it’s been an advantageous moment for construction; swinging cranes and closing traffic lanes is easier with the crowd thinned out.
The Brick and Machine from Clarett West Development and DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners is all framed up and getting closer to completion. The build at 9735 Washington Boulevard, will consist of two structures (Brick, and, Machine) with 60,000 square feet of offices stacked on top of 13,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
According to UrbanizeLA, Abramson Architects is designing the development, which will be clad in a combination of brick and metal screens. In addition to offices and retail space, the development will include a rooftop deck and a central landscaped courtyard for access by tenants, as well as underground parking for 223 vehicles.
Abramson Architects is also designing the new headquarters of mobile game maker Scopely. The building is currently under construction at 8888 Washington Boulevard in the Transit Oriented District of Culver City a short walk from the Expo Station.
