The purpose of a public meeting is to include the public – would beginning earlier make it possible for more people to participate? At the City Council meeting on December 9, 2019, the council will consider an earlier 6:00 pm start time for City Council meetings for the year 2020.
Regular meetings have typically begun at 7:00 PM, although presentations have occurred earlier. Recently, several special meetings have started at an earlier time to allow for additional study sessions and longer meetings to occur without the need to add additional meeting dates.
Public participation is – as always – welcome. If you can attend, please fill out a speaker card and share your perspective at the podium. If you can;t attend, comments can be sent to the City Clerk BEFORE 4:00 PM on December 9, 2019:
