After locker room, lobby, and pool renovations, the Culver-Palms Family YMCA is looking better than ever and is welcoming members old and new to enjoy the Y experience. The branch’s Annual Support Campaign has begun, and I’m happy to again be part of the fund-raising efforts and encourage your readers to be part of the 2018 Campaign!
The funds raised are earmarked specifically to partially subsidize programs for families who otherwise may not be able to afford a Y experience. Money raised stays at the CPFYMCA and benefits our local community. Kids whose families may not be able to pay the full amount become able to participate in pre-school, summer camps, youth sports, dance, Model United Nations and Youth & Government, while adults can benefit from numerous exercise, yoga and swim opportunities, plus wellness classes and even MS yoga and a diabetes prevention program. No one gets in for free – but donations help so many who might not otherwise be able to participate.
