Kid Scoop Media will be creating history by hosting the very first forum, giving the children of Culver City Unified School District an opportunity to be a voice in the election and selection of the Culver
City School Board.
Creator Michelle Mayans offers “Although children cannot officially vote is in this election, they have a mighty influence on those who can. They will have a chance to ask questions and express their concerns to the candidates who seek the two available seats on the school board. We encourage all children regardless of school district to exercise their voice and critical thinking skills.”
By offering this event in Culver City, Kid Scoop media hopes to set an example to the nation, according to Mayans, “that children are no longer simply the next generation and the benefactors of our decisions. They are the now generation and as a result should be included as part of the solution.”
