The Culver City Sister City Committee invites students between the ages of 13 and 17 to learn about our student exchange programs and new Youth Program. Young people will learn about cultural and artistic opportunities, art and written word national competitions, and the chance to earn community service hours. Attendees will also learn about a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Iksan City, South Korea this summer as part of a ten-person student exchange for 9th, 10th and 11th graders. Selected delegates will experience first hand the Korean lifestyle, language and culture while living with host families and touring cultural sites in and around Iksan City, which is located in the southwestern region of the country. Applications and cost information will be provided at the meeting.
All interested students and their parents are invited to an informational meeting about Sister City youth/travel programs at Donna Thayer’s house, 10737 Oregon Ave. in Culver City on Tuesday, January 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
