Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin’s campaign for Culver City City Council has built a broad coalition of support, from Culver City civic leaders and hundreds of local residents to California’s Lieutenant Governor and State Treasurer, organized labor and the local and regional business community.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the support our campaign has received,” said Wisnosky Stehlin. “After more than 26 years in Culver City, it means so much to have neighbors and colleagues I’ve worked with over the years standing alongside leaders from our labor and business communities and from across California. I’m proud of the coalition we’re building and excited about the work ahead.”
Her support is especially strong among those who have led and served Culver City. She is endorsed by Council members Dan O’Brien and Albert Vera, Jr.,
former Culver City mayors, School Board Members Lindsay Carlson and Andrew Lachman, former School Board presidents, Planning Commission Chair Darrel Menthe, Cultural Affairs Commission Chair Ehsaan Mesghali and Commissioners Heather Moses and Tania Fleisher, among other current and former City commissioners, civic leaders and hundreds of Culver City residents.
Wisnosky Stehlin is endorsed by two of California’s most prominent statewide leaders, Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis and State Treasurer Fiona Ma, as well as U.S. Representatives Judy Chu and George Whitesides, State Senator Ben Allen, Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur, Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus and Chair of the Select Committee on Growing and Retaining the Creative Economy in California, and Democratic National Committee member Analisa Swan.
Her campaign has also brought together significant support from labor and the business community. Labor endorsements include the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor (AFL-CIO), IBEW Local 11, IBEW Local 40, UNITE HERE Local 11 and LIUNA Local 300. Business endorsements include the Culver City Chamber of Commerce and BizFed PAC. Wisnosky Stehlin brings experience with both. She is a fourth-generation union member and 33-year member of SAG-AFTRA, as well as a small business owner with an MBA who knows firsthand what it takes to make payroll, manage a budget, navigate regulations and keep the doors open.
Wisnosky Stehlin has also been endorsed by Culver City Democrats United, the largest Democratic club in Culver City, as well as Democratic Municipal Officials and Democrats for the Protection of Animals. Moms Demand Action has named her a 2026 Gun Sense Candidate.
Wisnosky Stehlin has called Culver City home for more than 26 years. She and her husband raised their three daughters in Culver City, where all three attended public schools from kindergarten through high school. Her professional career spans nonprofit leadership and decades in arts and entertainment, where she has managed organizations, budgets and programs.
Her community service spans Culver City’s schools, arts, parks and neighborhoods. She served eight years on the Culver City Cultural Affairs Commission, including two as Chair, and on the CCUSD Measure CC Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee. She co-founded Culver City Neighbors United, which helps residents understand and take part in City Council decisions, as well as the Culver City Parks Foundation.
Wisnosky Stehlin is also co-founder and president of the Heart of LA Democratic Club, the first feminist Democratic club in Los Angeles County. In 2025, she was elected as an Assembly District 55 delegate to the California Democratic Party as a member of the Party’s Executive Board, and member of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.
She is running to bring her decades of community involvement and professional experience to City Hall. Her Action Plan for Culver City focuses on quality of life and the environment; traffic safety and mobility; affordability and fiscal responsibility; support for small businesses; compassionate and effective solutions to homelessness; and stronger collaboration between the City and Culver City Unified School District.
Wisnosky Stehlin is the only candidate in the race proposing a City lobbyist registry, which would publicly disclose who is seeking to influence City decisions.
“I’ve been calling for a lobbyist registry since 2020 because residents deserve to know who is trying to shape the decisions that affect our community,” said Wisnosky Stehlin. “It’s a simple, commonsense step toward the transparent, accountable City government Culver City deserves.”
Wisnosky Stehlin is running for one of two seats on the Culver City City Council in the November 3, 2026 election.
