An exclusive show at the Washington Corridor Gallery will celebrate the opening reception of FIREHOUSE, a photography exhibition celebrating the incredible work of Brian Haimer, who served as the Culver City Fire Department’s photographer from 1975-2024.
For over 45 years, Brian documented the people, events, and everyday moments of CCFD, creating an extraordinary visual record of the department and the generations of firefighters who have served Culver City.
The exhibition will feature photographs and a documentary, The Day the Street Exploded, about the 1976 Venice Boulevard gas explosion that Brian documented.
The opening reception, on October 3, 2026, will welcome viewers from 5 to 8 pm at 8723 Washington Blvd. If you are unable to attend the opening reception, the gallery will also be open on Sunday, October 4, from 12 to 4 pm.
10% of print sales will be donated to the Culver City Firefighters’ Foundation.
