On Monday August 3 the Culver City Democratic Club will record an online forum for City Council candidates to be posted on the club’s YouTube channel

Culver City voters will choose two City Council members this fall. The club has already endorsed Mayor Freddy Puza, a former Vice President of the club, for a second term. All of the other Democrats who have started the process of getting on the ballot have been invited to this forum.
Councilmember Dan O’Brien has chosen to take a job running the Culver City Chamber of Commerce rather than seek re-election. A vote on who the club will endorse to replace him will be held following the club’s August 12 meeting.
A similar forum was held for school board candidates on June 1 and can be seen on YouTube. All four candidates participated, and the club subsequently endorsed the three incumbents: Triston Ezidore, Brian Guerrero, and Stephanie Loredo.
Founded in 1952, the Culver City Democratic Club is the city’s oldest political organization and was one of the first progressive groups on the westside. Its endorsements are coveted and influential.
