Culver City residents and neighbors participated with signage and songs at the third “No Kings” rally on March 28, 2026. The courtyard at City Hall, which has been the site of a regular Saturday morning protest since January of 2025, was filled with enthusiasm. People carried hand made signs, often of posterboard or plain brown cardboard painted with protest slogans. “No Kings” was the most popular phrase of the day, but there were also many comments on the latest war, the Epstein files, ICE, and incompetence.
While seemingly not as crowded as the October rally, the protest also covered a much wider area, going up past Lafayette, and down Washington, covering the sidewalks next to Sony Pictures Entertainment.
A group in front of City Hall with a guitarist and a drummer sang through the morning, drawing in more voices for “This Land is Your Land.” Rob Cox, leader of Moms and Dads Against Fascism (MADAF) sang on the other side of the courtyard, also drawing cheers and applause.
One of the event organizers, standing on a perch near the arch at City Hall, offered that they were pleased with the turnout, and were looking for the national numbers. “Forty-one events in Los Angeles, that’s way more than last time; I’m wanting to see what the rest of the country looks like.”
Mainstream news outlets dubbed it the largest protest in the history of the country. An estimated eight million people joined in thousands of protests from Bath, Maine to Honolulu, Hawaii.
Plans for the next “No Kings” have not yet been offered, but Culver City will hold it’s regular “Keep Showing Up” rally next Saturday, April 4, 2026.
