Culver City to Receive Measure A Funding: Culver City Park, Fox Hills to Benefit

Culver City will be the recipient of Measure A grant funding from the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (RPOSD).

Last week, on March 18, 2026, there was an announcement of more than $78 million in grant funding to build, plan, and improve parks and open space across the County; creating jobs, strengthening public safety, and helping communities breathe cleaner air.

The two projects funded for Culver City are: $344,760 for Culver City Park, Regional Recreation & Racket Sports Enhancement Project and $300,000 for for Fox Hills Park Storm water Capture Project Feasibility Study.

For Culver City Park (also called Bill Botts, the name of the playing field,) this money will allow the city to advance planning, design, environmental review, permitting, technical studies and community engagement to transform an underutilized area of Culver City Park between Leash Lane and Duquesne Avenue into a” multi-generational recreation zone” with pickleball, tennis courts, shaded seating and picnic areas, landscaping, and improved access to regional trail and park amenities.

The funds for Fox Hills Park Storm water Capture Project Feasibility Study will advance pre-construction planning and design for a multi-benefit stormwater capture and park improvement project at Fox Hills Park through project management, feasibility analysis, utility research, community engagement, geotechnical investigation, survey, preliminary design, grant reporting and preparation for future construction funding.
