Your holiday tree has done its job. It sparkled, it smelled great, and it survived the season. Now it is time to send it off the sustainable way. Culver City’s Tree-Cycling program makes it easy to recycle your real holiday tree once the decorations come down. Available through January 10, so don’t delay.
From December 26 through the end of January, residents can drop off their tree at the following Culver City parks for quick and easy Tree-Cycling:
• Fox Hills Park
• Syd Kronenthal Park
• Veterans Park
• Culver West Park,
Before dropping it off, be sure to remove all lights, ornaments, garlands, and stands.
Prefer to handle things at home? You can also cut your tree into smaller pieces and place it directly into your green bin for regular collection. Either way, your tree gets recycled instead of sent to the landfill. A win for you and a win for Culver City.
