Culver City Democratic Club Meeting; Prop 50, No Kings Day, Ballona Creek Renaissance Call to Action

The meeting of the Culver City Democratic Club on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 will hear discussion of Prop. 50, plans for No Kings Day on Oct. 18, and a presentation from Ballona Creek Renaissance leader Deb Gregory on single use plastics.

While the ballots are arriving in mailboxes now, the $32 million spent by Charles Munger, Jr. to convince people to say no is being blasted over the airwaves. It’s important to get information from accurate sources to decide your vote.

Gregory will be talking about the upcoming agenda item for the city council meeting on banning single use plastics in Culver City; the four ‘B’s’ are “[Plastic] Bags, Butts, Balloons and Bottles.” The non-profit environmental group has presented an ordinance to the city for consideration.

Massive national protest are planned for Oct. 18, as “No Kings Day,” and local actions are being planned. Find out what, where and when.
