Celebrate the planet and help to take care of our creek by joining the Ballona Creek Renaissance for a Ballona Creek Clean-up! It’s their 15th time hosting this event, at the base of the Julian Dixon Library on Overland Ave.
Last year, 140 volunteers pulled 520 pounds of trash, 120 pounds of recyclables, and 190 pounds of green waste out of the area, giving the water a chance to flow.
Meet up at the creek on Saturday Sept. 20 at 9 am. Bring friends! Wear closed to me shoes, all other supplies are provided, including snacks! People under 18 need to sign a waiver, so if that’s you, bring a pen.
