The Culver City Symphony Orchestra continues its 2019-20 Season with a concert:

The Conservancy writes: “The Robert Frost Memorial Auditorium at Culver City High School is one of the most breathtaking Modern buildings ever designed.” The mid-century architectural icon, Culver City’s Robert Frost Auditorium, has under gone major construction visually and acoustically, and is transformed by the celebrated architecture firm of Hodgetts + Fung

Sally Beamish: “The Day Dawn” (1999)
Based on a Shetland fiddle tune, “The Day Dawn.”
Dedicated to a friend of the composer whose young daughter had recently died.

Jean Sibelius: Violin Concerto (1904-05)
Audrey Park, Violin, Winner, Parness Concerto Competition
Sibelius always felt of himself as a failed violinist.
His violin concerto is his only concerto.

Pyotr Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5 (1888)
At a creative crossroads, Tchaikovsky, in this major symphony,
and through Russian song and soul, showed the world he still mattered.
