Bike Path to Close for Improvements – Dates and Locations

If you’re planning to take a ride along the Ballona Creek Bike Path, you may need to re-strategize. During January 21 through February 14 certain bike path entrances/exits will be closed due to a site improvement project.

The schedule is below:

1. January 21 – January 24: East Sepulveda Bike Path Entrance/Exit will be closed
2. January 27 – January 31: Overland West Bike Path Entrance/ Exit will be closed
3. February 3 – February 7: Overland East Bike Path Entrance/ Exit will be closed
4. February 10 – February 14: Duquesne Avenue Bike Path Entrance/ Exit will be closed

The site improvement project is an educational art project that was developed by students from Culver City High School’s Audio, Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) class. Students from AVPA developed conceptual designs that were presented to City Council on November 18, 2019. Their concepts will be painted by local artist Lindsay Carron to raise awareness about impacts of stormwater on our environment. Artwork will highlight the historical significance of Ballona Creek and its connection to the Pacific Ocean.

During this time, the City advises the community to take alternative routes.
