Kids Scoop Media Fundraiser – Nov. 17

Culver City based Kids Scoop Media, the non-profit that offers students a chance to wield the microphone for red-carpet interviews with notable celebrities, is celebrating this Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019 with a party at the Wende Museum featuring NBC’s Ted Chen, a live and silent auction and of course, the Scoopers.

Ted Chen serves as a general assignment reporter for NBC4. Joining the station in 1995, Chen can be seen weekly on the NBC4 News at 11 a.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Chen has a passion for politics and has reported on major political stories, and has covered elections for more than 20 years. A journalist known for his versatility, Chen also covers such Hollywood events as the Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Emmy Awards. 

The live and silent auctions feature a Costa Rica Wildlife Refuge Stay – 7 nights, a Dodgers Game – Dugout club seats with preferred parking pass, VIP tickets to Trevor Noah Show taping in NYC,
Professional Portrait session by Bradford Portraits, including a 20” Canvas print + one-night stay at Balboa Resort and a 5-Star Hunting Experience for 2 hunters, 3 nights/3 days in Uruguay at Tango Lodge.

Auditions for new Scoopers are open as well, and the upcoming Democratic Presidential Debate at LMU is on the list.
