Westfield Fox Hills has a number of large stores that function as anchors, but the possible loss of Forever 21 could leave a challenge for the popular local mall.

Forever 21 has struggled over the last several months, and the privately held company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Sunday, Sept, 29, 2019.  The Los Angeles-based clothing chain is looking at  closing 178 of its 549 U.S. outlets, including the Culver City location.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Forever 21 issued a list of 178 U.S. stores for possible closure in its filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Tuesday, including 41 California stores, with 26 locations in Southern California, from Santa Barbara to San Diego. They also include a few of the chain’s F21 Red branded stores.
