It is with deep sadness that we are sharing the news that Laura Frakes, the CLM at the Culver City Julian Dixon Library, has passed away. Her passion and enthusiasm for our library will be missed, as will her creativity, insight, and compassion.
She was instrumental in the planning for the upcoming celebration of the library’s 50th anniversary, and we are so sorry that she will not be there to share in the joy of those events. We will be honoring her dedication to the library and her memory at our annual Installation Dinner on Friday, January 17, 2020 and at the library’s 50th anniversary celebration on April 1, 2020.
We hope you can join us for some or all of these opportunities that were so dear to her heart. She was an important part of our library “family” and we are so grateful to have known her.
