Walk 3 to 9 to Hold Breast Cancer Research Fundraiser @ Kenneth Hahn

A new charity walk, Walk 3to9 (walk3to9.org) is taking place at Kenneth Hahn State Recreational Area on Sunday, September 15th. Launched in July 2018 in an effort to unify Avon 39 Alumni walkers and survivors in the fight against breast cancer, Walk 3to9 – a 5k/10k/15k (3/6/9 miles) walk – was organized by a fellow alumni and walker coach who shares the same passion as others in the continued fight against breast cancer.

As the park gates open on the 15th, participants, volunteers and survivors will come together on the scenic trails of Kenneth Hahn State Recreational Area in Culver City with a goal to raise over $125,000 to benefit the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation for Breast Cancer (www.drsusanloveresearch.org). Headquartered in Los Angeles, the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) is dedicated to achieving a future without breast cancer by engaging the public and scientific communities in innovative research on cause and prevention, including metastatic cancer. The Foundation is highly respected worldwide and receives 4/4 stars on Charity Navigator, the highest rating awarded.

Walk 3to9 is excited to hold their second annual event at Kenneth Hahn, a beautiful location that has embraced the Walk 3to9 community. The diversity of the park trails is a perfect match to the participants who will travel from San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties to be a part of Walk 3to9 and who are passionate in finding a cure for breast cancer. Registration is open to everyone at www.walk3to9.org and local businesses are invited to be a part of the event. For sponsorship information, contact Jaki Kackert at [email protected].

  1. My son Zachary and I can’t wait for the Walk! The research and care funded by the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, the beneficiary of Walk3to9, is so vital.
