Race Relay “Power to Heal; Medicare and the Civil Rights Revolution”

The next Race Relay, race relations dialogue circle, will take place on Sat., Aug. 24, 2019 from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be followed by a potluck meal and a film screening at 6:30  of “Power to Heal: Medicare and the Civil Rights Revolution”

The film reveals the back story of how we would never have implemented Medicare without the work of the civil rights movement and its courageous leaders and participants. The film will be followed by a discussion. Maureen Cruise, RN, and Director & Co Chair of Health Care for All – Los Angeles Chapter has graciously offered to be with us, participate in our discussion, and answer questions.

Free parking in the back of the building. Okay to park in the reserved spaces on the weekends. Please only park in designated “handicapped” parking w/a handicapped placard.

Anyone 15 years of age or older is welcome to participate in the Race Relay meeting.
Anyone 13 years of age or older is welcome to attend the film screening.
