A brushfire near the Kenneth Hahn Park was contained quickly yesterday afternoon, July 24, 2019.
The fire was reported about 1:10 p.m. at Kenneth Hahn Park in the 4900 block of La Brea Avenue. Los Angeles County firefighters worked to contain the 1-acre blaze, which produced smoke that was visible across the L.A. Basin.
Firefighters determined the flames spread from a garage fire to surrounding brush.Both ground and air resources were called in help battle the blaze.
No structures were threatened.
