The evening will begin with a 6:30 p.m. presentation to declare March 2019 as Revive Civility Month and acknowledge the members of the Culver City Community Conversation Advisory Board.

7:00 p.m. Regular City Council agenda begins. Presentation of the Final Report will not take place earlier than 7:00 p.m.

The City of Culver City was selected by the University of Arizona’s National Institute for Civil Discourse (NICD) as one of five “deep dive” cities nationally to participate in its “Revive Civility Cities” program. NICD worked with Culver City during 2018 and 2019 to help bring the City civil discourse strategies around the issue of growth and development in the Fox Hills neighborhood.

Activities included stakeholder interviews by the NICD and a series of community visioning meetings held in November and December 2018. NICD synthesized the input heard at the community visioning meetings and, based on that input, created a Final Report, which will be presented to the City Council on March 11th.
