Bilkiss Bequest Supports School Libraries

Some people keep doing good, even after they are gone. The late Darlene Bilkiss, kindergarten teacher at Farragut Elementary, continues to be an angel looking out for Culver City students. CCEF recently received an additional bequest of $50,000 made from her estate. According to the Culver City Education Foundation, the funds are designated to support the needs of school libraries throughout the district. Darlene was a much beloved kindergarten teacher at Farragut Elementary for 38 years, and served on the board of CCEF for close to a decade. “We are incredibly grateful for her continued generosity and excited about the long term impact that this donation will provide in enriching library resources available for our students.”
