It will be a month, but it will be well worth the wait. If you are a fan of fine chocolate, some pretty perfect product is moving in soon. Milla Chocolates, the confectionery that once held a long term pop-up in downtown Los Angeles will open its permanent brick- and- mortar location in Culver City. Christine Sarioz, Milla’s chocolatier in charge, is looking to open doors in mid-August.
According to LA Eater, the boutique chocolaterie will have a retail area in the front with a full production facility in the back. That means guests will be able to watch the chocolate-making and confections while enjoying afternoon pick-me-ups. Coffee will come from Coffee Manufactory, with more food collaborations potentially in the works.
Sarioz, who worked in the art world in New York City for over a decade, started taking chocolate classes once she moved to Los Angeles. After learning as much as she could for three years, the entrepreneur founded Milla Chocolates out of her home, utilizing her background in the decorative arts to create visually compelling packaging with her husband and creative director, Goktug Sarioz.
The new location expects to be serving from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Stay posted for the opening date (these things need time to set, you know – )
