Double M Jazz at MCLM – July 15

The Mayme Clayton Library and Museum will take on a jazz legend this coming weekend with Mimi Melnick’s Double M Jazz Salon offering Trane Stories, a Tribute to John Coltrane on Sunday, July 15th, 12:30 -4:30 pm. the amazing All Star Line-up will feature  Teodross Avery, saxophones; Theo Saunders, piano; Henry “The Skipper” Franklin, bass; Marvin “Smitty” Smith, drums; and Dwight Trible, vocals and spoken word.

Double M Jazz Salon continues its legacy at the Mayme A. Clayton Library & Museum in Culver City. Jazz Baroness Mimi Melnick first began Double M Jazz Salon in 1996 in her Encino home on Strawberry Drive. Mimi loved jazz, she organized and hosted the Jazz Salons to support the jazz community in Los Angeles. Mayme A. Clayton Library & Museum is proud and honored to carry the torch.
