Concluding Concert for CCSO Season – June 9

The Culver City Symphony Orchestra concludes its 2017-18 Season with a return concert to intimate and beautiful Kirk Douglas Theatre
9820 Washington Blvd. Culver City, CA 90232. The concert, New Sounds in Downtown, Music for Two Harps and String Orchestra, is Saturday, June 9, 2018, 7:30PM. It is not often that two harps are soloists in a concert.

Ralph Vaughn Williams: Variants of “Dives and Lazarus” for Two Harps and
String Orchestra (1939)
Karl Jenkins: “Over the Stone” for Two Harps, Percussion, Celeste and
String Orchestra (2002)
Gustav Mahler: Adagietto for Harp and Strings (1901-02)
Johannes Brahms: Waltzes (1865)-transcribed for string orchestra,
Viennese Bachelor/Some Brahms Waltzes M.L. Hetz (2016-17)
