AVPA begins a new partnership with the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum who will host the AVPA Music Showcase this Friday, May 11, at 7 pm. The concert will feature chamber music ensembles, Chamber Singers, and two Jazz Combos. The concert is free! The evening is also a fundraiser to support the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum Double M Jazz Salon Program. Donations for this exceptional program will be happily accepted. Concessions will also be available.
The Jazz Combo will also perform on Saturday for the Congressional Art Competition Reception in the same space. The student art pieces that have been submitted for the Congressional Art contest will be on display during the evening concert on May 11 as well and includes works by AVPA visual art students.
