Everyone Deserves to Feel Safe – “The Talk Project”

On Wednesday April 18 6:30 the Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission hosts “The Talk Project,” a program sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women Los Angeles. “Everyone Deserves to Feel Safe,” is a peer-led Community Conversation for teens to discuss and gain information regarding the cycle of sexual violence at a Special Meeting of the PRCS Commission in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers at City Hall, 9770 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232

The PRCS Commission selected this Community Conversation topic in order to continue to strengthen the goal of creating a kinder Culver City. The meeting showcases an engaging program for high school students called “The Talk Project” which was created by the National Council of Jewish Women | Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) Teen Advocacy Working Group. The Talk Project is a peer-to-peer sexual violence awareness program which involves teen peer educators visiting various sites in Los Angeles to discuss consent, sex, and sexual violence with other teens.  More information regarding The Talk Project may be found on The Talk Project website.

The meeting agenda will be available online or at the City Clerk’s Office no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time.
