NFL Will Relocate from Culver City to Inglewood

In a move that has been anticipated since the Rams first announced their return to Los Angeles, the NFL Media has announced that it will relocate to a new facility at the L.A. Stadium and Entertainment District in Inglewood in 2021.

According to the Wrap, the NFL intends to develop an approximately 200,000-square-foot facility to house employees of the NFL Network, NFL.com, the NFL app and NFL RedZone. Plans also call for an outdoor studio with space for an audience.

The NFL’s West Coast operations are currently housed in Culver City, where the league recently signed a lease through 2021.

From Steven Sharp at UrbanizeLA, the new home of the NFL’s media arm will be the latest component in a 260-acre development at the site of the former Hollywood Park racetrack, highlighted by the 70,000-seat venue that will become the new home of the Rams and Chargers. The total project, which has reportedly seen its budget balloon to nearly $5 billion, also calls for the construction of up to 3,000 residential units, a 300-room hotel, 400,000 square feet of retail space, and 25 acres of park space.

The stadium will also play host to the Super Bowl in 2021, and serve as a key venue in the 2028 Summer Olympics.
