While CCUSD has had some headline grabbing turnover, it’s the nature of school that people come and go. AVPA Theater Director said goodbye to her students on the last day of school, June 9, 2017 After six years with Culver City High School, Novick is opting for a Masters at the University of Northern Colorado, and that means stepping out from teaching.
Novick stated, “I came to the conclusion that I would not be able to teach three classes of English 11, and Theatre Arts and run AVPA Theatre AND go to grad school. I want to be able to really focus on school for the next two years. I’m very excited for my new adventure, and I need a change.”
Of course, it was not a choice made lightly “I will miss CCHS and AVPA very much! Saying goodbye to my students had to be one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to do!”
Who will be sitting in the AVPA director’s chair next September is still to be determined.
