Seats Open on Baldwin Hills Advisory Board – Community Participation in Oil Field Oversight

oil field and pump jack Richard Bruckner, Director of the County of Los Angeles Department of Regional Planning, is looking for community members to join the Baldwin Hills Community Standards District’s (BHCSD) Community Advisory Panel (CAP). The board has three openings in need of enthusiastic new individuals. The CAP meets on a monthly basis to foster communication about ongoing operations at the Inglewood Oil Field and to ensure continued community engagement with the County of Los Angeles and the operator of the oil field. If you or someone you know may be interested, please review qualifications for the ideal candidates below:

• At least 18 years of age
• A resident from a neighborhood organization in close proximity to the unincorporated portion of the Inglewood Oil Field
• A representative from the Los Angeles School District
• A representative from the Windsor Hills Elementary School
• A resident in close proximity to the unincorporated portion of the Inglewood Oil Field who is not represented by a neighborhood organization
