Java Gala IX Celebrates AVPA at the Kirk Douglas Theatre

word-image-2-768x512The AVPA Foundation, in partnership with Center Theatre Group, hosts “Java Gala IX” at the Kirk Douglas Theatre on Saturday, June 3. The pre-show reception will begin at 7pm with food, drink, live music, and an art exhibition. The show begins at 8pm and features students from each of the five departments of AVPA: Art, Dance, Film, Music, and Theatre.

After last year’s celebration of 20 years since AVPA’s founding in 1996, the program has continued to win accolades for its work. The entire program was recently recognized as a California Gold Ribbon Exemplary Arts program, one of only 17 in the entire state. The music program was also recognized with a GRAMMY Signature Schools Enterprise Award.

Continue the celebrations by joining us for an evening of art, dance, film, music, and theatre! Along with silent auction items, there will be opportunities to continue your support of AVPA throughout the evening.

Free covered parking at Culver City’s City Hall – across Culver Blvd from the rear of the theatre. Entrance on Duquesne.
