Culver City Public Theatre (CCPT) is seeking submissions for its Summer 2017 Children’s Popcorn Theatre production of 10-minute plays, performed for six weekends in July and August 2017 in Carlson Park. In keeping with Culver City’s Centennial celebration, the theme is Culver City “The Heart of Screenland.”
Your play should be 10-15 minutes long, preferably humorous, suitable for a young audience of 5-12 years old, also have some adult appeal, and must include at least one character from The Wizard of Oz. Recommended cast size is 2-4 people, and language should be suitable for park performance and and all-ages audience. Submissions are due by February 1, 2017. Selections will be made by March 1, when CCPT will announce the winning plays to be performed in our 1-hour show.
