Volunteers are needed to staff polling places on Nov. 8, a critical job that pays between $105 and $175 for Election Day and pre-election training. Volunteers typically work 14 to 15 hours on Election Day. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Most volunteers work close to home, and communities appreciate the people who put int the time to take care of democracy.
