The City is beginning the annual process to develop the City’s Fiscal Year
2016/2017 Budget. The budget, which is scheduled for final adoption by the City Council on June 27, 2016, sets the spending priorities for the City for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017). This initial notice includes the dates for the City Council’s discussion of the City’s departments’ proposed workplans for Fiscal Year 2016/2017. These initial discussions will allow the City Council and members of the public to provide input which will guide the formulation of the City Manager’s Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2016/2017 which will be formally presented to the City Council on May 9, 2016.
These meetings will take place at Culver City City Hall – Patacchia Room – First Floor 9770 Culver Boulevard on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday March 21, 22, and 23, 2016 beginning at 4:00 pm.
State law requires the City Council to adopt the budget for Fiscal Year 2016/2017 no later than June 30, 2016. All members of the public are invited to attend the above meetings to learn more about the City’s Departments’ workplans and have an opportunity to provide comments.
