Ask2Know, Culver City’s only candidate forum where all the questions come from local kids and teens will be asking for your support for the CCUSD Backpacks for Kids food program. Questions are asked by local students, and candidates can speak to their favorite demographic- children! October 14th, 6:30 p.m. at West Los Angeles College, Fine Arts Theater. Admission is free. Kids, submit your questions with your parents’ help to [email protected]. Please bring a food donation for the Backpacks for Kids program!
PLEASE NOTE we only need certain food. Nothing in glass containers, and if in cans, pop tops are preferred. This is easy to prepare food for the kids on the weekend. Here is the list of foods we are accepting. If anyone wants to donate money, please make a check out to CCCPTA, and put “Backpacks” in the memo. (CCCPTA is Culver City Council PTA)
Acceptable foods:
Shelf Stable Peanut Butter 12 oz or smaller (e.g. Skippy, Jif etc.)
Cereal in a Cup (one serving in a plastic bowl)
Packets of Oatmeal
Wrapped crackers (not a box of loose, but stacks of wrapped crackers, e.g. Ritz, Saltines, etc)
Mac n’ Cheese
Shelf stable Milk: plain, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry (does not need refrigeration. e.g. Horizon, Costco)
Canned Meat Pasta (e.g. Chef Boyardee Ravioli) in pop top can
Fruit Cups
Pre-made Pudding cups
Granola Bars
Cup Noodle or ramen
