Garden Classes with GreenThumbs

3518394910_aa0f5d2f2f_bSpring is here! It’s that wonderful time to get yourselves ready for summer vacation with a great garden. Come join GreenThumbs for its annual Garden Classes Fundraiser! Help the group raise enough money to finish its Culver City High School garden remodel and learn some cool ways to make your lives more green and sustainable.

Classes start next Saturday, May 2, and run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the next four Saturdays. You can come to one or all classes. The whole four-week course is $55, or $15 for just one class.

The classes are taught by the Master Gardeners from UC Extension program. They are ultimate experts in all things gardening. This time, Garden Classes will even include classes on chicken husbandry and beekeeping. Adults and children are welcome. Please email [email protected] if you are interested or have any questions.

Compost cakes and other methods
Worm bins and and making Worm Tea
Bio Pest Management

Week 4 – May 23
Bees and Beekeeping
Harvest of Herbs and saving them
Other cooking and food saving techniques
Food party / Certificates / Raffle
* Please bring a garden hat and sun block to each class.
* Make sure you bring water and snacks
* Please bring pen and notebook
* Process go to The GreenThumbs Garden Club at Culver High School
